About this site

H.I.T. Communications is a single-page marketing site for Healthcare Innovation and Transformation Communications — a Lorton, Virginia practice focused on strategic communications and marketing for healthcare, health IT, education, and related public-sector and corporate audiences. Tagline: When you fail to communicate, you fail.™ We don’t fail.

Purpose and audience

The site targets federal and corporate clients who need research-based communications strategy — not generic agency marketing. Positioning emphasizes environmental awareness of legislation, regulation, new technology, and industry trends. The principal brings 20+ years of experience across civilian and military healthcare systems, corporations, advocacy/trade groups, and policy institutes. Named clients include HIMSS, the HIMSS Foundation’s Institute for eHealth Policy, the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved, and Visionary Consulting Partners.

What the page covers

Navigation is lean: “What We Do” and “Contact Us”. Content sections include:

  • Hero — brand expansion of H.I.T. plus the core value proposition
  • Services — strategic communications, events/project management, government affairs, marketing, PR, and technical writing/editing, with a longer competency list (branding, CRM, public policy, organizational change, social, partnerships, web strategy, and more)
  • Industry pulse — live Kaiser/KFF Health News headlines to signal ongoing domain awareness
  • About — founded 2008, credibility through clients and invitation to request samples or a free phone consult
  • Contact — address, phone (540-969-9410), and a form for project inquiries

How it’s built

This rebuild replaced a badly outdated legacy site with a modern, focused presence. The stack is deliberately simple: Etch for structure and composition, Automatic CSS for the design system (automatic.css, spacing/typography tokens). No heavy CPT layer—just a single WordPress page, token-driven layout, and a contact form. The result is a clean, maintainable brochure site that puts expertise and conversion (consult/contact) first.
